Playa Vista

A harmonious balance seems to have been struck with nature, home, work, and play.

Welcome to Playa Vista

As progress comes, the old gives way to the new, and that’s exactly how things worked out for Playa Vista in southwestern Los Angeles. Ages ago, the site of this community used to be the village of Sa’Angna, where the Tongva Native Americans would congregate and live. Eventually, in 1769, the European settlers came and worked the lands into agricultural fields and dairy farms. As the 1940s flew in, aviator Howard Hughes established an aircraft plant, hangars, and a runway here.

Today, this 1,087-acre land is a fresh new community, one that this area hasn’t seen in over 50 years. A harmonious balance seems to have been struck with nature, home, work, and play. There is ample breathing space for one to break free from the binding stress of work and to focus on what is important, happiness.

Since Playa Vista is just about a mile from the tempting waters of the ocean, it’s easy to indulge in a day of relaxation under the sun. If you want to stretch out your legs, a walk in the park will do you good. All the conveniences of modern living can be found in this community, with the allure of a small town that is located within a bustling metropolis.

Neighbors are more than acquaintances; they become your friends in the close-knit community that Playa Vista has established. Stepping out of your front door, whether it be of a single-family home, loft, condominium, or town home, gives you access to a neighborhood.
